WHAT A LIFE!!
It has been a long time, too long, that I have not gone blogging. Why? God knows why! But today, my mind told my heart that I should have fun again. With age catching up, probably it is good for my sleepy brain. Mind you, sometimes, my brain does go to sleep.
I admit that I feel sick and tired. Sick of seeing people enjoying life more than me...lol, and Tired of trying to achieve things that are beyond my reach.
Well, when I look back to my younger days, I am glad that my life was really not that bad. So many sweet memories and unexpected good and bad experiences, like being in the middle of a Coup in a country with so much political turmoil (Dec 1989, Philippines), Stranded in a country where no airlines dared to land (1990 , Nepal - When India refused to stop exporting goods, including fuel and medicines to Nepal) and, when my aircraft, American Airlines, have to turned back to the terminal due to one of the rear wings fell down to the ground while queuing at the taxi way for take off (1989 - Dallas,Texas, USA). - how lucky can you get, huh?
For 9 years, I was in the Philippines witnessing 3 changes in the country's administration (from HE Ramos, HE Estrada and HE Arroyo). 3 years maintaining a golf course, dealing with unstable and indecisive management of the Golf Club owner. A failure in my 1st marriage and few health problems that need immediate attention and some must undergo surgeries (from nasal, knees, angio-plasty etc.)
But there were also a lot of sweet memories, like meeting my wife, Jasmine Amin, for the first time, bringing family for vacations like Gold Coast, Australia., London, UK., Singapore, Thailand, KL etc. Tear of joys, when I attended graduation days for both my eldest daughter and my wife in the same year and same university. Sweet memories that really touched my heart when I personally attended and gave away my two daughters at their weddings. You can say I have been there, done that and so on... I think I have more sweet memories than bad experience.
When I look back those days, I am happy to be what I am and what I have gone through.
But it was so unfortunate, that I lost my beloved father on 18Th October 2009. I really missed him so much. He was a good father and a good teacher. Rarely, you see him losing temper. Very quiet person and never ask or demand anything from his children. He lived in a quiet way, the same way as he left us. He was a happy man at 84, loved to go out and enjoyed having lunch and dinner outside with families. He was loved by his 9 children, 39 grandchildren and 6 great grand children. I would love to walk in his path and to be where he has been.
Summarizing what I have gone through life, I believe I was lucky that I could bounce back from few failures.
Life is not that easy, but it was all due to the strong encouragement and love given by family members, are the key to my survival . I believe, meeting Jasmine, was the turning point of my life. Without her, I could have been 6 foot underground. Alhamdullillah, I am now enjoying my new life with having 2 great son in laws, and have been blessed with a birth of a handsome and smart grandson, Asfar Razeen. My health has improved tremendously after changing my bad eating life style and cutting off cigarettes in 1998.
I pray to Allah to give me more time so I can spend more quality time with my family.
